Hot off our successful Pride Concert (“The Book of More Men”), we invite you to join the Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu as we present our 2013 Summer Cabaret Concert entitled “Hear My Song”. This unique concert is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17th (Statehood Day), in Weaver Hall at Church of the Crossroads (located at 1212 University Avenue, near Puck’s Alley). Pre-sale tickets through July 31st are priced at $65; tickets purchased from August 1st through August 17th will be priced at $75. All tickets include the show, catered dinner, 4 drink tickets, and admission to the silent auction.
This cabaret-style show will feature GMCofH as a whole as well as soloists from larger ensemble. In addition to the scrumptious dinner and entertaining music, there will be a silent auction featuring artwork, jewelry, gift baskets, goods, services, & more from around the Island.
Formed in 2012, led by Artistic Director John Lehrack, and consisting of 46 male voices from all walks of life, the Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu is Honolulu’s First Openly Gay Musical Organization. The mission of the GMCofH is to achieve excellence in the performance of men’s choral music. The music performed by GMCofH comes from a wide variety of styles. As a proud part of the LGBT community in Hawaiʿi, GMCofH seeks to support, encourage, and promote that community.
The GMCofH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in the state of Hawaiʿi; donations to GMCofH are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
