Mimi Elliott studied piano performance at UH-Mānoa, where she was a student of Paul Lyddon and Ed Shipwright. During that time, she was the accompanist for the Honolulu Men’s Chorus under the direction of current GMCH director John Lehrack. After a 12-year hiatus from all things musical, Mimi started singing in the Honolulu Symphony Chorus in 2007, and later joined such groups as the Honolulu Chorale, Central Union Church’s Oratorio Choir, Temple Emanu-el’s High Holy Days Choir, the Phoenician Choir of Honolulu, and the Hawai‘i Vocal Arts Ensemble. She is currently the Alto leader for the choir at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in urban Honolulu. “Mumsy” to two fur-babies, Mimi lives in Kāne‘ohe.
